Giving Back

As owner and independent publisher of Charity Press Books, I am committed to giving back to my local community.  I pledge to donate 10% of our profits to local charities or worthy causes.  Thanks so much to our readers for helping to make this possible!

I am pleased to announce that the first charity I will donate to from the sale of Minnesota Wonders is the St. Vincent De Paul Center in Faribault, Minnesota.  St. Vincent De Paul provides free food, clothing, and furniture to those in need.

Other charities we've supported in the past:

WI-Upper Michigan Kiwanis Autism Project- The WI-UM Kiwanis District aims to raise money to provide iPads to children on the Autism Spectrum.  As of January 2015, the Kiwanis Autism Project has raised over $290,000, which has purchased iPads, protective cases and iTunes gift cards for 678 children on the autism spectrum.  Kiwanis clubs also spread the message of autism acceptance by selling my book ASD and Me:  Learning About High Functioning Autism Spectrum Disorder.  Because of their efforts we were able to donate over $800 to the project.

Donations to local schools-  We have donated copies of our books to local schools and the public library in Faribault, Minnesota.  We also made a $250 donation to the Cannon River Stem School Special Education Department.

Highlight It Up Blue for Autism is an April autism awareness event where a volunteer professional hair stylist places a blue extention in your hair as a way to spread autism acceptance and awareness.  Proceeds from the event benefit local autism charities in the Twin Cities.  It was an honor to be a sponsor of this event event in 2012.
